Meet Dawson High's band director, Mr. Ryan Agard
Mr. Agard was previously the Director of Bands at
Austin High School in Sugarland. He completed his
Music Education degree at the University of Houston,
where he studied saxophone with Dr. Karen Wylie and
performed in the Wind Ensemble for four years under
the direction of Mr. Eddie Green. In addition, Mr.
Agard was a member of the Catalyst saxophone
quartet, which won several national awards, including
the Coleman Chamber Music Competition, the
Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and second
ranking in the Carmel Chamber Music Competition.
He was also a member of the Jazz Ensemble under the
direction of Mr. Noe Marmelejo.
